Nation's Number One Sports Builder Teams With Local Minority Firms For Orlando's New Events Center

ORLANDO, FLORIDA - Hunt Construction Group, the nation's #1 sports builder as ranked by Engineering News-Record, has formed an association with Orlando-based certified minority firms that include R.L. Burns Inc., Rey Group, HZ Construction Inc. and Albu & Associates, Inc. This construction management in association team was formed to pursue the construction management contract proposal for the New Orlando Events Center to be constructed in downtown Orlando.

"Hunt came to us with a foolproof game plan; they played like pros and worked hard to recruit a winning team," said Robert Burns, President, R.L. Burns.

"We are honored and excited to partner with the Hunt team on the public process bid for this new venue," said Tony Rey, Jr., Chief Operating Officer of Rey Group. "Hunt's stellar reputation as the largest sports builder in the nation speaks for itself."

"HZ Construction is excited to be a part of Hunt's team in their bid for the construction of the Orlando Events Center. We look forward to working with all parts of the community, particularly the Parramore area," commented Sandra Hill, Vice President.

Jason Albu, Vice President stated "Albu & Associates is honored and excited to be a part of this "dream team". Each member brings different strengths to this Events Center project and overall is a good representation of Central Florida. This new facility will make a monumental difference to the people, charities and businesses involved with this historic undertaking now and going forward over many years. Albu & Associates is privileged as a local construction management company and top MWBE firm to have such a great opportunity!"

The Hunt/Burns/Rey/HZ/Albu team held a Meet & Greet Event on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at the Jones High School cafeteria as a part of their Community Impact Plan. The team encouraged participation by all local, small and historically disadvantaged businesses, and unveiled its program and commitment to further promote economic growth, create new business opportunities and foster lasting relationships for future endeavors.

"This team sees the tremendous positive impact this project can make on the local community and all of those involved in shaping Orlando's future," said Bill Edwards, Diversity Program Manager for Hunt Construction Group.
